The precipitated dicyclohexylureawas removed by filtration and the solvent wasdistilled at reduced pressure on rotary vacuum evaporator.The dried product was dissolved in ethyl acetate (10 mL) andthe solution was washed with 10% aqueous solution of sodiumbicarbonate followed by distilled water to remove thetraces of residual dicyclohexylurea. The ethyl acetate layerwas dried with anhydrous magnesium sulphate and then solventwas distilled off to obtain the crude product which wasrecrystallized from ethanol-water mixture.
