Jiang, Biao published the artcileCatalytic asymmetric oxidation of heteroaromatic sulfides with tert-butyl hydroperoxide catalyzed by a titanium complex with a new chiral 1,2-diphenylethane-1,2-diol ligand, Formula: C17H18N3NaO3S, the publication is European Journal of Organic Chemistry (2009), 987-991, database is CAplus.
Heteroaromatic sulfoxides, especially 1H-benzimidazolyl pyridinylmethyl sulfoxides, usually used as the blockbuster gastric proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), have been prepared highly enantioselectivity by catalytic asym. oxidation of sulfides attached to nitrogen-containing heterocycles with tert-Bu hydroperoxide in the presence of a chiral titanium complex, formed in situ from Ti(iPrO)4, chiral 1,2-diphenylethane-1,2-diol and water. The chiral sulfoxides were obtained in high yield (97%) with excellent enantiomeric excess (up to 98%).
European Journal of Organic Chemistry published new progress about 161796-78-7. 161796-78-7 belongs to imidazoles-derivatives, auxiliary class Membrane Transporter/Ion Channel,Proton Pump, name is Sodium (S)-6-methoxy-2-(((4-methoxy-3,5-dimethylpyridin-2-yl)methyl)sulfinyl)benzo[d]imidazol-1-ide, and the molecular formula is C17H18N3NaO3S, Formula: C17H18N3NaO3S.
