1-(3-Chloropropyl)-1H-imidazole (596 mg, 4.12 mmol), potassium carbonate (660 mg, 4.775 mmol) and potassium iodide (106 mg, 0.64 mmol) were added to a stirred solution of cis-4-amino-5-chloro-2-methoxy-N-(3-methoxypiperidin-4-yl)benzamide (1 g, 3.188 mmol) in N,N-dimethylformamide (20 mL) in order.
