Chromatography of the residue on silica gel (ethyl acetate) gives 8.1 g of (7R,7aR)-3-phenyl-6-benzyl-7,7a-dihydro-7-(imidazol-1-ylsulfonyloxy)-1H,3H-imidazo[1,5-c]thiazol-5(6H)-one as an oil.
