The organic layer was concentrated and purified by silica gel column chromatography (ethyl acetate/n-hexane 0 to 50%) to give compound 4-fluoro-1-isopropyl-2-methyl-6-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-benzimidazole represented by formula 1-b (180 mg, 0.5657 mmol).
