A solution of 1,1′-sulfonylbis(1H-imidazole) (10.000 g, 50.454 mmol) in dichloromethane (120 mL) was mixed at 0 C with trifluoromethanesulfonate (MeOTf, 5.710 mL, 50.454 mmol), and stirred at the same temperature for 3 hr.
