The solid orange-brownish precipitates were filtered, the crude product of 2-(1-trityl-1 H-imidazole-4-yl)indan-1 ,3-dione was washed on filter with water.After the recrystallization of crude 2-(1-trityl-1 H-imidazole-4-yl)indan-1 ,3-dione from ethanol the yield of the 2-(1-trityl-1 H-imidazole-4-yl)indan-1 ,3-dione intermediate product was 97.4g (67.2%), having a melting temperature of 213 to 215C
